During the Rock Island trip, we were gifted a surprise side trek to Pilot Island. This is a place I have only been able to see from a great distance while taking the ferry to Washington Island.
This is a place I have wanted to see for a long time now, and it did not disappoint. It looks, smells, and feels like it is the end of the world.
