Up North lacking that autumn feel sadly

Drove up to the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest in northern Wisconsin this past weekend looking for some of that lovely fall color. Not too surprising, I guess, the websites I use to find peak colors were WAY off. Small pockets of trees here and there still had colors, but most of it was a week or two past peak.

So we pivoted and drove toward Michigan, hoping to see something, but sadly, it was past peak entering the UP as well.
